About

About TS Manual Therapy

At TS Manual Therapy and Recovery the goal is to effectively treat, and educate your brain and your body. You should move fluidly without pain no matter what you are doing or how hard you are pushing it. When your body is not moving fluidly or the way you would want it to, it may have become stiff, overworked and stressed. Feeling this way all the time will lead to chronic pain, sickness or repetitive strain injuries.

Myofascial manipulation by a Manual Therapist includes a combination of Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, and Scar Release. Every person presents with a different and unique situation. Treatment is customized to address your needs. Orthopedic and Fascial conditions develop over time and also take time to correct. Therefore, treatments will be applied incrementally to avoid more trauma to the body and mind.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

HBOT is the medical use of oxygen in a pressurized environment. With an Increased amount of pressure the human body dissolve oxygen and saturate the blood plasma this creates a large amount of positive effects at the cellular, physiological, and biochemical levels. This noninvasive therapy is the most trusted way to increase oxygen levels to all organs of the body. Treatments lasts for 60-90 minutes, during this time the patient lies down and breathes normally.

HBOT has been used in many clinical studies to increase the body’s natural ability to repair and regenerate. It is used as an adjunct therapy to complement and enhance the healing process in both chronic and acute conditions.

 HBOT sessions :

60 min. $125

90 min. $200

hyperbaric-oxygen-therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has developed a successful record of helping treat a number of conditions that include:

Chronic inflammation, Neuropathy, Parkinson’s, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Post Stroke,  Brain Injury, Post concussion, Multiple Sclerosis, and many others.

How It Works

When you buy a bottle of soda, the carbon dioxide bubbles are under pressure, this makes the size of the bubbles small enough so that they dissolve into the liquid. Therefore, you can't see them. When the  pressure is released, the volume of each bubble increases and the bubbles appear. When an individual is under pressure in an HBOT, the oxygen molecules become smaller and are able to dissolve into the blood plasma. This increases oxygen delivery throughout the body and makes it easier for oxygen to reach inflamed tissue and support better cellular and organ function.

HBOT, is a specialized therapy that uses an increase in atmospheric pressure to allow the body to absorb more oxygen into blood cells, plasma, and cerebral, spinal, and other fluids.

DECREASED

INFLAMMATION - HBOT supports detoxification and activates genes that combat inflammation. That means a stronger immune defense.

More
Energy - HBOT delivers more oxygen to mitochondria for production of the energy molecule, ATP. That means more energy to do the things you love.\

CALM MIND +

ENHANCED FOCUS - HBOT delivers more oxygen and energy to the brain. It helps to calm the nerves so you feel peaceful and present in life.

IMPROVED METABOLIC

HEALTH - HBOT has beneficial effects on glucose metabolism, insulin resistance and lipid profiles.

Is HYPERBARICS SAFE?

Hyperbarics has an excellent safety record. A lot of HBOT offices report only mild ear discomfort as a contraindication to therapy. This type of discomfort is close to the same discomfort when in an airplane during take off and landing. This can be minimized by (descending or adding more pressure to the HBOT) at a slower rate. If you have any concerns or questions as your HBOT technician.

Athletic

& Active People

I'm a healthy person but want to use hyperbarics for fitness and wellness :

Using Mild Hyperbarics regularly by people from all walks of life, this includes pro athletes, and hikers. Athletes are looking for an edge, by using hyperbaric oxygenation muscle fatigue and build up of lactic acid is reduced. Pro athletes who use hyperbarics report an advantage in their sport.

Peak
Performance -

HBOT delivers more oxygen to muscle cells and mobilizes stem cells for recovery. That means increased performance, faster recovery, and protection against injury.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy helps athletes and people who live active lives heal quickly and get back to doing what they want to do. A lot of sports related injuries involve strains and sprains, that naturally cause swelling and accumulation of excess fluid in connective tissue. These reactions to injury squish blood vessels and restrict the important flow of oxygen-carrying plasma and red blood cells to the injury site. Cells and tissues surrounding the injured area will become starved for oxygen, which gets in the way and slows healing.

Achieve new goals everyday, week, month, and year!

Recovery Therapy

TS Manual Therapy integrates advanced myofascial therapy with oxygen therapy to help solve chronic pain problems.

Myofascial Therapy with the addition of oxygen therapy helps solve many chronic pain problems. My mission at TS Manual Therapy is to treat the whole body by using proven myofascial, and neuromuscular techniques so that you can get back to being pain-free.

Integration of myofascial and oxygen therapy.

The integration of myofascial and oxygen therapy is used to come up with every treatment plan. Your session may include a range of motion evaluation, a detailed review of your health history, discussion of treatment, your goals, and the application of techniques that will be used to reduce pain and improve function. Home-care is just as or sometimes more important to the treatment that you receive in office. That being said, home-care activities may be suggested for longer-lasting results. Every person is different, so recommendations are made for the individual.

Owner / Founder

Tim is a native of Glens Falls, NY, manual therapist, athlete and anatomy enthusiast. He has 20 plus years of healthcare experience that ranges from professional sports ( NHL, AHL, MLB, PGA, Ironman) internal medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Therapy/ Rehab, Chiropractic , and traumatic brain injury.

After finishing with a BS in Sports Medicine / Athletic Training from New England College in Henniker, NH he went on to further his education at Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA. From there he has gained more skill and knowledge from Tom Karis, Stu Wild (Myopain Seminars / Neuromuscular Therapy), Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains), Dr Robert Schleip of Ulm University, and Whitney Lowe. While working at BCH, St Elizabeth’s in orthopedics / Sports Medicine Tim was exposed to a medical school level of everyday education from some of the worlds top MD’s.

At BIDMC in Boston Tim helped start the country’s first on campus integrated care center. There he treated patients that were referred to him from all departments of the hospital. This helped him gain more experience in treating all kinds of health issues and patients.

Tim’s treatments are not the same from patient to patient. The approach is designed to help you by providing the tools you need to get you back to where you want to be and stay there. To achieve these, I focus on education, empowerment, and movement. All of these are very important pieces, whether you’re recovering from injury, surgery, or illness. They will all help in getting you back to moving like you used to, or continuing to push yourself and achieve your goals.
